Walkerhill Hotels & Resorts (General Manager Hyun Mong Joo, hereinafter referred to as “Walkerhill”) has been named the top brand in the hotel services category of the 2024 National Customer Satisfaction Index (NCSI) survey, organized by the Korea Productivity Center. This survey, the largest of its kind in Korea, evaluates and announces the quality of products and services across leading industries and companies each year.

Under the slogan ‘Beyond Entertainment, Elevating Excitement,’ Walkerhill has expanded its software-driven management to offer more than just relaxation. It actively develops a variety of digital programs, continuously improves its facilities, promotes ESG management activities, and supports the professional development of its staff members to deliver exceptional customer service that goes above and beyond expectations.

In particular, Walkerhill has been advancing its digital experience through initiatives such as the NFT membership program ‘W.XYZ,’ which is based on Web3 technology, and by enhancing the operations of its online store. The hotel is also actively exploring ways to strengthen customer communication in online environments, including the launch of its YouTube channel.

This year, Walkerhill launched a task force to develop services as part of its goal to become an 'AI hotel.' By integrating AI and data, the hotel is securing long-term growth engines for its business. AI-driven services aimed at enhancing customer convenience include a pilot AI healthcare program, unmanned kiosks at the front desk, navigation robots in the lobby, serving robots in F&B restaurants, and SKT NUGU speakers in guestrooms.

Beyond simply being a hotel, Walkerhill is striving to establish itself as a multi-purpose complex that encompasses art, culture, and activities. The hotel consistently introduce seasonal and trendy content, such as cultural salons, park concerts, and the "Walkie" program, alongside brand partnerships and collaborations. Efforts to enhance customer satisfaction also include the Harrington Car Driving Program, the renewal of Teneze Park, the renovation of Myongwolgwan’s annex, and the expansion and relocation of various internal facilities.

In its commitment to eco-friendly management, Walkerhill continues to stay ahead of the curve. As the first in the industry to introduce a vegan concept room, the hotel has led the way in sustainability. This year, Walkerhill implemented water purifiers in around 90 rooms, replacing bottled water and taking significant steps toward reducing plastic usage. Other notable ESG initiatives include hosting a plogging event on Earth Day in partnership with Gwangjin-gu District, running the Village Hotel project—a blockchain-based program that supports the local community—and obtaining LEED certification for its airport transit hotel. These efforts underscore Walkerhill's dedication to a sustainable future.

To enhance customer convenience and service quality, Walkerhill conducts ongoing service improvement activities through weekly priority tasks and monthly service campaigns. Innovation is further driven by annual projects led by the operations team, ensuring a hands-on approach. The hotel also strengthens staff training in service and skill development, while expanding motivational programs such as the Best Hotelier Program.
