LVIS is a company on diagnosis and treatment of brain diseases located in Silicon Valley (US). It was established in 2013 by Jin Hyung Lee, the first Korean female professor at Stanford University. LVIS has developed NeuroMatch, an AI based deep learning software which diagnoses and proposes optimal treatment options for various brain diseases such as dementia and epilepsy. In addition, the company is defensible with 20 patents and over 140,000 medical data accumulated for more than 13 years.
SK networks believes that LVIS will develop new diagnostic and treatment solutions in the brain disease field based on its cutting-edge technologies. The partnership with LVIS established through this investment will be used to strengthen the network in the relevant field and seek additional investment opportunities. Advice from Professor Jin Hyung Lee will also be available.
SK networks Global Investment Center head, Han Jong Jung said, “It seems AI will be utilized across almost all the industries in the future and it is expected that the AI based digital healthcare industry will grow at 30% CAGR from 2020 to 2030.” He added, “This investment, though small in amount, will pave the way for mutual collaboration with LVIS to expand our investment on companies that have promising technologies in the AI realm.” End of document.
