SK Speedmate is the new name for SK Networks’ car management service brand Speedmate.
At the beginning of this month, SK Speedmate (headed by CEO Mooin Ahn) declared its establishment as a fresh organization and revealed plans to enhance its customer-focused business strategy utilizing data and artificial intelligence (AI) as a top automotive aftermarket provider in Korea.
Speedmate has provided services for both local and foreign vehicle repairs, emergency roadside services (ERS), and tire and parts distribution through a network of over 590 repair shops. Speedmate has maintained its position as the top automotive company in the Korea Brand Power Index (K-BPI) for over two decades by introducing a store sales management system, customer satisfaction management, and standardized pricing in the maintenance market that didn’t have a service system. This has raised industry standards and established Speedmate as the undisputed leader in automotive management.
The launch of SK Speedmate is part of SK Networks’ evolution into an AI-focused intermediate holding company, aiming to boost original business competitiveness and improve customer value through a faster, more autonomous decision-making process. The company's goal is to enhance its position as a responsible player in the automotive aftermarket industry. The company will use existing data to increase the value of the maintenance brand Speedmate by widening partnerships and O2O services, and creating personalized complex stores. Meanwhile, developing new business models using Huckleberry Pro will expand its presence in the imported car parts distribution and post-accident car repair markets. The company is also looking to utilize AI for improving work efficiency and uncovering new business opportunities, and expand operations in global markets.
A new service named "moonlight maintenance" has been recently introduced by the company. It has extended its operating hours until 10 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays to accommodate office workers who are unable to service their vehicles during regular work hours. This demonstrates SK Speedmate's enthusiasm as a novel organization committed to discovering innovative customer-focused service models. Therefore, SK Speedmate's approach includes accelerating future growth by creating services that meet customer needs and business models that incorporate AI.
"Utilizing our strong brand presence and cutting-edge technology, we aim to enhance customer satisfaction and increase our company's value as a leading player in the automotive aftermarket by expanding data-driven operations and improving business efficiency with AI," explained SK Speedmate CEO Mooin Ahn. He continued by stating that SK Speedmate strives to promote the happiness of its employees and stakeholders by quickly and flexibly adapting to changes in the business environment to achieve greater growth.
