SK Networks launches Korea’s first comprehensive golf solution business.

SK Networks has launched ‘Vixlam’, the brand for Korea’s first comprehensive golf solution business, and is also soon to open the largest professional golf shop in Korea on Sep. 3rd in Mok-dong, Seoul.

 

Vixlam stands for “Victory of Grand Slam” which means winning all 4 major golf tournaments, and the brand aims at improving the golfing ability of all customers who visit the shop.

 

The recently introduced Vixlam membership services will also be offered to customers who use the gas stations and car management service of SK Networks’ Energy Marketing Company. With the purpose of providing a comprehensive solution to the game of golf, the brand will offer private lessons, customized clubs and much more and in this way will be differentiated from the services of existing golf shops.

 

Inside Vixlam’s Mok-dong shop which opens on Sep. 3rd will be a one-stop shopping space possessing more than 12,000 items and a room where customers can enjoy some practice shots at their leisure. In addition, the shop offers differentiated services such as lessons using the 3D Swing Analysis System (in alliance with Model Golf) and customized fittings (in alliance with MFS). Such a comprehensive one-stop management service model covering a wide range of services from purchasing golf goods to customized lessons is a first in Korea.

 

There will also be a section dedicated to the selling and buying of used golf clubs and an exclusive section aimed at women customers that offer a variety of services and products including the provision of an exclusive room for practice shots.

 

SK Networks plans to operate the shop with more professional and specialized services by offering individually customized items not only for clubs but also gloves and golf shoes. Moreover, the company will create new membership services using the 20 million customer data base possessed by SK Group and the OK Cashback card to focus on improving customer satisfaction.

 

A spokesperson at SK Networks said, “It is true that golf shops in Korea do not provide high-quality customer services in comparison with the abilities of Korean golfers. So we will create unique values for Vixlam’s customers by offering a new-concept comprehensive service that combines cutting-edge IT technologies in the sport of golf, which is now the largest market for sports goods in Korea. Beginning with the Mok-dong shop, Vixlam shops will continue to grow in accordance with the speed of growth in the golf business.
