President, Jeong, Manwon, ´Love’s Briquettes Sharing´ voluntary service (Nov. 20, 2008)

Despite the chilly weather, SK Network’s president, Jeong, Manwon, participated in the love’s briquettes sharing after visiting San No.5, Hyeonjeo-dong, Seodaemun-gu. Along side 50 other employees on the morning of 20th, President, Jeong, Manwon and SK Networks’ staff delivered 1,500 briquettes in total to the poorest families in a mountainous town needed an adequate supply of briquettes for the severe winter. SK Networks has delivered 15,000 briquettes in total to underpriveledged neighbors through the nationwide Briquettes Sharing voluntary service thus far.
 

President, Jeong, Manwon, asked the particpants to come together as “a company always able to deliver a warm heart to neighbors in need. Like the briquettes we too need to burn off our energy in bringing warmth to the less fortunate in our society” .We should overlook our neighbors in need despite the difficult times brought about by economic depression.”

 

President, Jeong, has often been active in voluntary services such as joining in the recovery services of the Taean Oil Spill, delivering hand-made steaming bread and other necessary donations to child-care facilities despite his heavy schedule.

 

SK Networks’ entire staff of over 2,300 people has been active all the year round in a variety of voluntary services such as social welfare facilities visits, cultural assets preservation, and the 1company 1village program. The entire voluntary service man-hours yearly amounts to over 45,000 hours.
