SK Networks donates 83,000 school uniforms for students

SK Networks held an international relief supply donation ceremony on December 24 at the Korean National Red Cross building in Seoul. The event was attended by Red Cross President Han Wan-sang, SK Networks CEO Jung Man-won, and Sohn Moon-kuk, head of the company’s fashion business group of SK.

 

That day, SK Networks donated 33,000 student uniforms, which the company produced in its Nepal and Bangladesh plants. The donated clothing is valued at a total of 1.6 billion won, and is equivalent to a volume of 3,300 boxes, or eight cargo containers.

 

SK Networks has donated student uniform (Smart), and casual attires (Caspi), valued at a total of 11.6 billion won, for people in poor countries, including Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Laos and Iran.

 

A SK Networks spokesman said “We are deeply interested in contributing to the international community as a company that is engaged in business in the global market,” adding that “We hope that our meager contribution could help enhance the image and understanding of South Korea among populations in recipient countries.
