- Selection of meals such as samgyetang and bulgogi that are tailored to the palate of the elderly, considering both health and taste
- "We will continue to pursue diverse win-win partnerships, sharing warmth with the local communities"

SK rent-a-car, which provided high-quality meals to the undernourished seniors through the 'Meal Sharing Ontact Project' in Jeju last year, is continuing its social efforts this year. The project is one of the social value creation campaigns launched by SK Group to resolve social problems. These include the growing undernourished population caused by the closure of free meal centers for the vulnerable during the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, hardships of small businesses, and difficulties in operating welfare facilities.

SK rent-a-car (CEO: Hwang Il-moon) announced on the 2nd that about 80 employees, including the ones from SK pinx and the Jeju Senior Welfare Center, personally delivered meal kits to around 800 elderly people who were undernourished.

The meal kit provided this time consists of galbitang, samgyetang, bulgogi, and seaweed soup, which is tailored to the preferences of the elderly. It considered not only the health of the seniors but also their palate, and the amount of the kit is sufficient for about four meals per person.

A member of the SK rent-a-car Jeju branch who participated in the volunteer activity expressed, "I feel touching and a sense of satisfaction from looking at the elderly greeting me with warm hands. Starting from this one, I would like to join and support other activities and become rich in heart like the saying, 'more volunteering will make your heart rich.'"

SK rent-a-car has been helping the elderly in Jeju since last year. In May, the company signed a business agreement for the 'Meal Sharing Ontact Project' for two consecutive years with the Jeju Provincial Office and SK pinx, and delivered a total of KRW 100 million together with SK Pinx to the Jeju Island Senior Welfare Center and the Seogwipo Senior Welfare Center. This year's donations are planned to benefit about 2,300 people in 10 institutions, including senior welfare centers and nursing facilities of local governments, by the end of the year.

On top of that, SK rent-a-car joined the 'Happy Two Meal Project' to support undernourished children in Seogwipo City in April in collaboration with the home furniture brand Iloom, assisting with a total of KRW 52 million for the Happy Lunchbox Project that helps 80 malnourished children.

An SK rent-a-car official said, "we will continue to carry out various win-win activities to share warmth with the local community."
